Smurfit Kappa Expands
Relationship With Pamarco
Pamarco Global Graphics,Atlanta, Georgia, has long
been a preferred supplier to the European operations
of Smurfit Kappa. Pamarco's role has been to supply
anilox rolls and support services throughout Smurfit
Kappa's European sites.
This relationship has now been expanded globally
and includes the Americas.
Smurfit Kappa’s UK Operations and Global Excel-
lence technical teams have carried out a broad range
of testing on Pamarco’s 60° ThermaFlo engraving and
EFlo extended cell technology.
This work has covered a range of substrates and has
enabled them to tailor screen specifications and re-
portedly produce award winning High Definition
Post Print work.
In other news, Pamarco Global Graphics will be ex-
hibiting at the Graphics of the Americas show to be
held in Miami Beach, Florida from February 27-March
1. The company will be located at booth 344 at the
Miami Beach Convention Center.
Along with its Diamond line of rubber rollers, the
company will also be displaying the Syn-Tac brand,
sold exclusively through its Nationwide Graphic Arts
DuPont Celebrates 40 Years
DuPont marks the 40th anniversary of DuPont
flexographic printing systems this year. In
1974, DuPont introduced the first elastomeric pho-
topolymer printing plates under the Cyrel
the printed packaging industry.
Operating in 6 continents and 100 countries,
DuPont continues to innovate and expand the
Cyrel® product line.
DuPont will mark the 40th anniversary of Cyrel
with a year-long global celebration highlighting his-
torical milestones, as well as past, present and future
leaders in innovation with Cyrel
TCL Packaging Purchases
Uteco Onyx Press
TCL Packaging has signed a contract with Uteco for
a new Onyx 808GL central impression flexographic
printing press to be installed in the company’s new
factory in Telford, UK, during spring of this year. It is
the second new printing press purchased by the
company in three years and comes after an extended
period of double-digit, year on year sales growth.
