Acucote
Gene Lauffer has been promoted to Chief Operat-
ing Officer at Acucote Inc., Graham, North Carolina.
Lauffer joined Acucote in 2008 as the National Sales
Manager. In 2011, he accepted the position of Vice
President of Sales and later served as the Senior Vice
President of Commerce. He has worked in the pres-
sure-sensitive label stock industry for 30 years.
Mike Hudson has been hired as the National Sales
Manager; effective immediately. He joins Acucote
with more than 15 years of sales and sales manage-
ment experience in the paper, adhesive, converting
and labeling industries.
Rick Cromer, the former Chief Operating Officer,
has retired.
RotoMetrics
John Langdon has been promoted to National Sales
Manager, RotoMetrics, Canada. In this newly created
role, Langdon will be responsible for managing sales
and customer service relationships within the Cana-
da region.
Langdon joined RotoMetrics in 1998 and has held
increasing roles of responsibility within the compa-
ny, including internal sales, technical sales and ac-
count management.
Sustainable Green Printing Partnership
The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP)
recently appointed David R. Sunderman, Project Man-
ager and SGP Coordinator of Visual Marking Systems,
Inc. (VMS) to its Board of Directors. Sunderman has
led VMS’s sustainability efforts for the last two years
and spearheaded the company’s SGP audit for certifi-
cation in 2012.
Founded in 2008, Sustainable Green Printing Part-
nership (SGP) is an independent, non-profit organiza-
tion providing a certification label for sustainability
in the graphic communications industry. SGP is the
industry standard for the certification and continu-
ous improvement of sustainability and best practices
within print manufacturing operations.
TAPPI
Tess Ventress has joined TAPPI as Program Director
of the TAPPISAFE safety orientation program. TAP-
PISAFE, a service of TAPPI offered in partnership
with Alliance Safety Council, provides a standardized
safety testing and orientation program for contrac-
tors and suppliers and is designed specifically by and
for the pulp, paper and packaging industries.
