Harper Completes Two
More Roadshow Appearances
The Harper Roadshow recently wrapped two
shows, one at The Madren Conference Center at
Clemson University, and the other at the Dunwoody
College of Technology in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Clemson event offered attendees the opportu-
nity to listen to and network with industry leaders
and professionals and learn more about the newest
technology of the flexographic field.
Representatives from Harper Corporation of Amer-
ica, Flexo Wash, Siegwerk, 3M, Flxon, and Esko
spoke regarding a long list of topics, including fast
match-color, doctor blades, prepress operations, ink
proofing, cleaning solutions, quantification, and tape
The Dunwoody College of Technology event of-
fered presentations that considered the topics of ink
workflow, communication, tape selection, photopoly-
mer plates, and more.
These presentations were provided by flexographic
professionals representing Harper Corporation, Flint
Group Packaging & NW, Esko Graphics, DuPont Pack-
aging Graphics, 3M, Dunwoody College of Technolo-
gy, and Mark Andy Incorporated.Attendees were also
treated to live demonstrations.
Pacon Inc. Installs
New Esko CDI Unit
Pacon Inc., Baldwin Park, California, has just pur-
chased a new Esko CDI imaging unit. CT Graphic Arts
from San Luis Obispo, California, assisted Pacon in
bringing in the new digital imaging technology.“We sat
and discussed Pacon’s plans and we were able to pro-
vide the technology that best fit Pacon’s needs.” Stated
Scott Keran, President and CEO of CT GraphicArts.
Pacon (formerly Pacon Paper) was founded in 1977
by Robert Austin.Today the company is co-owned be-
tween father and son, Robert and Michael Austin.
Pacon provides flexible packing products to the pro-
duce, meat & poultry & pet product industries.
Tetra Pak Completes
Million Site Expansion
Tetra Pak also announced the completion of a
million investment in its Singapore operations that
took place over the course of three years. The invest-
ment included a new flexo printer installation and a
laminator upgrade in its packaging material factory
that will boost production capacity by 33 percent
from 15 billion to 20 billion packs per year. It also in-
cluded new facilities for staff and customers.
